I really enjoyed reading this column. You described about how I've felt at times. I'm curious though...are you still self-deprecating at playdates now?

Thanks for your comment - I definitely make a conscious effort not to be self-deprecating at playdates, although still haven't really figured out what to do when the other mother starts criticizing her own parenting.
